Regarding analyst lifestyle/health
I was reading through the thread about the recent death of an intern at Lincoln International. Sad to see that something like that happened, but I saw a post on the thread that read, "by the time you start having health problems, you are already halfway through."
As someone who is currently recruiting for an SA stint and hopefully a career in IB afterwards, I wanted to make this thread to ask individuals who are currently going, or have gone through, their 2 "traditional" analyst years to touch on the above quote.
1) Did the work really create tangible health issues for you? (Mental, physical, emotional) 2) Aside from long hours, what were other factors that contributed to the high stress? 3) Did your two years of working in such an intense environment have lasting effects on you?
I, surely alongside other prospects, would appreciate any input from those who have gone through these experiences.
Hey bigcitylife, I think you deserve a response...heck, everyone does. We're listening, sorry about the delay ...my best guess at places on WSO that could help:
Who will rescue this thread? Rorogonzo @jpoe6" RML
Hope that helps.
