Rescinding an offer

Hi, So I recently accepted a full time offer on Monday which will be my first gig after college. However, on Thursday morning I got a unexpected email for the job of my dreams asking me to come in for a interview. The job I had originally accepted isnt not where near my ideal job. I only accepted it so I can have a job upon graduation. What should I do? Should I wait 6-12 months and re apply to my dream job or take the interview opportunity( assuming I eventually get the job) and rescind my original offer?

But would rescinding my offer hurt my name in the long run ? I can always re apply with better experience and increase my chances. The firm i originally signed the offer with has very close ties when my university.

I have some insight on this and have consulted mentors. Most jobs are are at will employment, meaning you or the company can end the employment contract at any time. If its your dream job, then do it but send a very respectful email to whoever you're leaving. You'll burn some bridges but as long as you dont mention the company youre going to youll be fine. But only do this if you get the offer and once background/drug tests clear.
