Risk Management
As an introvert, I don't care as much to do client facing work like in IB or S&T and am really just looking for a stable career where I can develop strong analytical and technical skills that can be transferable to other fields. I'll be starting a job as a market risk analyst at a very large bank in the U.S soon and I was wondering whether this position would have a good career outlook? I know people tend to dislike BO and MO roles but is market risk specifically a good spot to be in? Will I gain transferable skills? Honestly I'm not sure if I want to work in finance long term and might go to grad school for statistics or data science type roles. But I was curious if it would be worth it to stick around in a role like this? I'm new to the finance world so I'd appreciate some insight!
