Rosenbaum and Pearl vs. Real-World Application
Hi,
for those who have read or at least skimmed through Rosenbaum and Pearl's Investment Banking Book - are the steps outlined in the book actually quite similar to those one has to apply on the job? Or is there, as with in most cases, a huge gap between the theoretical presentation and its real-world application?
Best,

I would say they are 95% accurate with what you need to do. Memorize every step they lay out.
Once you're on the desk, there may be steps you take out or additional steps that your MD might ask for (project this LBO for 3 years, see what happens because this buyer likes to exit early).
But R&P will get you most of the way there.
Interested as well since I'm doing exercises on R&P workbook
