Salary range for Equity & Compensation Controller at Morgan Stanley NYC

Hello, I have been working as a research analyst at a sell side research firm for more than 3 years. I am currently looking for opportunities with a bigger sell side firm. I have an MBA in finance from a non-target school. I am currently pursuing CAIA level 1 and CFA level 1. Yesterday I received a call from a Morgan Stanley recruiter with respect to an opening of a Equity & Compensation Controller position at NYC office. It seems like a back office dead end job. However, I am curious about the compensation. Anyone here have an idea on how much an Equity & Compensation Controller is paid in NYC by Morgan Stanley? Also, do they have decent benefits? Any help is appreciated.

No idea on the comp, but curious about the role. I’m guessing it sits within accounting/ fp&a and a liaison to HR, and that you’d be in charge of booking accruals for compensation?? Why would a recruiter bother you with a role like that?
