Should I connect with analysts on LinkedIn after a solid informational interview?

Should i connect with analysts and associates on LinkedIn after I have a solid informational interview with them? Or is it weird because we've never met and we've only exchanged a few emails and only talked on the phone once?

This could allow me to build my network and see who they know as it may provide new contacts for me to contact in the future.

Also, how does it seem to request another phone call a few months later after the first? Or do most people just email after the first phone call?

Not necessary to connect with analysts/associates on LinkedIn - quite frankly, I'm not sure if you should or shouldn't.

As far as requesting a second call, you can do so if you actually have a reason to. Don't just set up a call for no reason. However, if you're near the city the person works in, I think it would be a better idea to try and schedule a coffee chat instead so that they can connect a name to a face.

Of course. I've connected with people on LinkedIn whom I've barely talked to. It's also helpful for the contact to put a face to the name.

To infinity... and beyond!
