Sick day policy
Curious what other banks' sick day policies are? I think at our bank we are entitled to a few per year, but based on my experience if you are sick, you just WFH and the workload is business as usual.
Right now, I'm feeling pretty crappy and could use a bit of breathing room / rest - not sure how to communicate this without sounding like I'm trying to get out of work, however.

The banks I worked at never really seemed to have a formal sick day policy. It was more like if you really needed to be off or not come in then just take care of yourself. Also if you need to push back on deadlines because of your health, that may seem within the same bounds.

Same here - never seen people use rule based policy, more sense based:
