Small Buy-Side only PE fund interview

Hey guys. So I just got an interview in a small PE (11--50 ppl on LinkedIn), The president there told me to go to their office next Monday for an interview. Here is what he said in the email:

"We only do buy-side M&A Advisory and this position does not entail financial modeling. It is more qualitative research methods and identifying acquisition candidates from our private equity clients."

I have experience in ER, and I'm interested in M&A. But I honestly have no idea how do I prepare for technicals, or just behavioral ones? Do I still need to prepare DCF, 3 statement questions?

Thanks a lot.

Had an interview with a similar firm not too long ago and the associates on the team said it's about 90% sourcing (ie. cold calling/cold emailing lower MM companies to get any information out of them). Talked with some senior people in finance that I am close with and every single one of them said it wouldn't add value to my resume at all and to avoid at all costs.

I appreciate the insight man. Let me shoot an email to the president there and ask him more specifically about what I'll be doing...but based on what I see on WSO, I'll probably forgo this one
