SMBC 2025 Summer Leveraged Finance Group Superday
Hi! I just received a Superday for SMBC's Leveraged Finance group. Has anyone done this process and have any insight on the interview process and difficulty/examples of technicals? Would highly appreciate any advice!
When is yours? I have mine this week.
At the end of this week, do you know how they format their super days?
Been a while, but it was 4 1:1 interviews. Half were technical, the other 2 were behavioral
Did you have yours yesterday?
I would also love to know this considering I'm interviewing with them this thursday
I had all behaviorals, but my friends had some general technicals. I’ve heard the interviews are pretty straightforward. I recall a lot of emphasis on the answer for why SMBC since they know they aren’t well known in the US so showing that you know what they focus on and why you’re interested in that can go a long way. Also LevFin for SMBC is split up into Sponsor Finance, Portfolio Management and Lender Finance. I don’t know all of their differences just that SF is the closest to traditional IB LevFin.
