What are the steps I should be taking as a current sophomore at a major target school to land a position in finance for Summer 2019? I see that a lot of banks only accept rising seniors, so I want to know what it is I can do now to get started.

they want to be able to give full time offers at the end of the summer so they have the next analyst class set up. if you get really lucky maybe you can swing something but that'd be surprising (for BB and MM) maybe some boutiques will give intern offers for rising juniors.
So essentially I should just focus on maintaining my performance in school and meeting new people to eventually set myself up for when I'm a rising senior?
