Sophomore Diversity Programs IB SA 2021

I am a current sophomore. I am applying to sophomore diversity programs for SA 2021 IB, and was wondering if you need to network extensively to get into these sophomore programs like you have to for normal junior SA IB programs (2022 for me). I know for junior year SA IB, people say talk to 5-10 people from each bank; however, I'm not sure if this would apply for sophomore diversity programs like Citi soph leadership and Early ID, MS sophomore diversity IB internship, DBachieve, Barclay sophomore springboard, GS diversity summits, etc, because the deadlines are so early for these and there are fewer applicants. I also don't want to network too early at BB's and EB's because when I do recruit for SA IB 2022, bankers will forget me and it would be weird to reach out again and have the same conversation when they've already talked to me once before.

Almost all of the processes you mentioned have already sent out first rounds or are entirely finished, so there's not much reason to network unless you're doing it for summer 2022

I see, looks like I applied too late cuz I applied last week for most of them. However, Barclays soph springboard, GS diversity summits, DB Achieve, UBS sophomore summer program, and early insight at MS/GS/Moe haven't opened yet, so I'll apply to those when they do. Also, I don't think Citi Early ID is done yet since the app is open till December, and Citi soph leadership's app is open until October; however, correct me if I'm wrong. Do you know of any other diversity programs that are done for SA 2021 (e.g. is Gugg's diversity done for 2021, or JP Proud to be done, cuz I can't find those on their websites)?
