Seeking the opinions of professionals in the industry who actually have experience of screening resumes.
If my junior year goal is IB at a reputable shop, what would be better for my sophomore summer. Through extensive networking, I have managed to land an opportunity in the buy side division of an EB in the distressed special situations group. ( How would this experience compare to a boutique IB internship my sophomore year? Will my story be difficult to understand coming from a buy side role to a sell side in IB? Am I at a disadvantage against kids who had boutique IB experience?
