Sophomore year progress

I am slowly wrapping up my first semester of sophomore year at a Big 10 school with roughly a 3.9 GPA. I have one internship under my belt and have signed at a lower middle market (deal size ~10-150 million) M&A firm this summer. I’m wondering if this will set me up nicely for a quality boutique or BB internship in Chicago or NYC the following summer, if I network well. Should I have gone for a larger boutique with larger deals for my sophomore summer? Where else are any sophomores working this summer? Looking forward to any insight or tips to help progress myself over the next year to land a great internship for junior year. Thanks!
