Stifel Nicolaus - IB Analyst Interview - Seeking Advice

I have a first round interview with Stifel for a lateral first year analyst position coming up. Just to give you some background, I graduated from a non-target school last year, majored in economics, had a boutique banking summer internship in the Technology group, and now have been working in credit risk for 6 months.

Any thoughts or tips on the interview? I have read through past threads and it seems to be a mix of fit/technical. Would sincerely appreciate any advice. Thanks!

I had SA interview there. It was fit and technical. Was just the first round too lol

Interviewed for full-time and saw OCR info-session pitch. Lot's of focus on being part of a growth story (been growing a lot for many years). Also, they talked a good amount about leveraging their strong equities research (they're big on that) to get on various deals. Depends what group you're going for, but probably would be solid to talk about Miller-Buckfire, Thomas Weisel, or any other moves they've made in the past few yrs to back up the whole growth thing. And sell it. GL

Some advice,

If during the interview they even broach the subject of relocating to St. Louis in any fashion.....HANG UP RIGHT AWAY
