Struggling with Application Timelines

Hey monkeys,

I am a female and sophomore at a target small college with a strong alumni network. I feel like I am struggling with the timelines for internships for the 2024 summer. While I have been networking thoroughly and making strong connections, it seems like the applications close before I can even figure out when they are due. I have not had any interviews yet despite applying to 5+ opportunities in September and at least 15 more between October and November.

Is it totally hopeless to keep trying for this summer? Has everything closed and recruiting is over of will more applications open in December and January? I know sophomore summer is competitive, but I really want to get my foot in the door. Any advice?
