Does anybody have experience with this as a SA?
I've heard: -don't start looking for June 1 st move ins until late April/early May? -manhattan sublets go quickly and a lot of people struggle to find housing? -brokers don't help, craiglist is the only way to find them? -I'm going to split a one bedroom with a friend (once of us will sleep in the living room) to save money. Is that legal?

Just about everyone I know that's done a manhattan internship has lived in the NYU dorms. It's not a bad gig since you're pretty much just sleeping there

The cheapest rate without a meal plan requirement is $280/week... 10 weeks that's $2800 which to me seems way overpriced. Very convenient... but if I can snag a $1500/month sublet and split it with my buddy, that's $2250 for 12 weeks
you can't find a 1 BR sublet for less than 1500 hahahah, unless you wanna live all the way in another borough
That won't even get you a decent studio...
Listen to the people on the board and do NYU if you wanna save the money
