Targeting firms for FT IB Analyst Positions
Background: Non-target junior interning in the Finance division of a BB(MS/GS) in NY this summer.
Which firms/ type of firms are open to hiring FT Investment Banking Analysts without prior banking experience? I know it will be nearly impossible to do so at BB and Elite Boutiques. I am looking at MM's and boutiques but would like to narrow my focus for networking purposes.
Any general advice from anyone that has made this jump would be much appreciated as well. Feel free to PM if that makes you more comfortable, I would love to hear your stories.

same situation, interested in what FT recruiting is going to look like
A lot of banks hire without previous investment banking experience. It's not like a binary thing though. You're evaluated on a number of factors and previous experience is just one of them. If the other parts of your resume and story are strong though, they can easily see past it.
I have a friend at Lazard, for example, that interned at Moody's and the West Wing before applying for FT positions.
