TD Securities vs. Wells Fargo
I was fortunate enough to receive offers for both of these firms for NY IB SA 2021. I wanted to get some advice over which you guys think is the better option in regards to culture/pay/exits. I like both firms evenly, so I thought an external opinion would help. Thanks!

Do you think it's worth the risk, especially with Wells Fargo's placement process (potentially getting placed in Charlotte?)
I would love to get placed there. NYC living sucks
Depends on what your end goal is. WF does well with LMM and MM PE and as long as you put a lot of work into networking with NY groups, should have a good shot.
WFS promotes internal mobility. As long as the group you intern with like you, you network appropriately, you'll be fine.

One bank is on the up the other is on the way down.
as an analyst I would still pick the bigger brand ie wells but if I was going in as associate then I might’ve picked TD.
Wells is a sinking ship but there’s still lot of time to go

I think it depends what matters to you long term. I vote TDS for longevity. But I also work there, so I am bias. I think from a junior perspective having a leadership team that is willing to put time into your development is the most important... You should go with whatever team you think will give you that.
