UBS ECM vs. KBW banks group??
Need to decide between a full time analyst offer with UBS ECM and the financial institutions focused KBW, both in NYC. As a senior undergraduate, I am interested in a variety of industries and do not have enough experience to say with confidence what I would prefer. I have read a lot of bad things capital markets and ECM and was wondering which would be a better place to start your career?
Thanks
Deal flow at KBW is top notch in the FIG space... I know several who work for them Sandler, FPK, etc.. and love it... I would do KBW, as the IB is taking over as the real anchor of the shop from research.
UBS used to be no 1 in Equities next to GS. Take the ECM offer and then move to M&A in your 3rd year. KBW what the fuck is that never heard of that...
