URGENT UBS SF winter reception?

Needs to be replied in two hours. I got invited to UBS SF winter reception, but I would have to buy a flight ticket there. Has anybody attended the event before? What do you think? Is it worth it?
From what I gather, UBS SF office is not that awesome, and considering that I already have first round interviews at some BBs in NY, this would probably be more like my "back up." But then I can never be sure whether I will get an offer from anywhere.

For future reference, there were 20 people, both juniors and 1st year MBA's. Had more bankers than candidates, so great opportunity for networking.

Unless the cost of travel is prohibitive, I can't think of a good reason not to go.

If I were you, I wouldn't forgo any chance that can potentially get me into the industry, unless you are not really focused on getting in IBD. But then again I don't know your background so you MIGHT be able to afford not to go...

Recruiting this year is pretty rough from what I gathered: at least on MBA level, many banks' summer intern conversion rates are very, very low this year.

My call would be to go. You have a near-absolute need for a job. As such, skipping a potential opportunity such as this has a huge cost.
