Vanderbilt vs Villanova MSF

Coming from complete non-target undergrad and was admitted to Master in Finance program at Vandy and Villanova. Villanova is about $20k less after scholarship and I am leaning towards it for personal reasons (proximity to home, knowing people in Philly area, relationship, cost difference). I am trying to break into IB and long-term PE/Corp Dev in Northeast but not necessarily NYC

I know Vandy has better rep for placing into MM IB and seems like it has much more structured program and helpful Career Development Center. Is it that much better than Villanova? Villanova is much less transparent with placements and overall hard to find placement statistics. Can anyone comment how Villanova MSF placement is into IB and how helpful is the Career Development Center compared to Vandy?

Thanks

congrats on getting into both. I think you’d be able to get into IBD with either choice if you network with alums from the respective MSF program. from what I’ve researched, vandy places tremendously well into IB. might just be a question of fit at the end of the day. nova is closer to nyc so it’ll be easier to set up coffee chats. I’d say there’s no wrong answer, just go with the better fit

Hey, my application to Vanderbilt is still in process. I've had my interview. How long did it take from the interview to getting into the program? Thanks.
