WFH in IB

From what you’ve experienced, how does senior management feel about analysts working from home? if you’re an analyst - is it still easy to work 12 hours a day from home? have you noticed an increase in quality of life or is it just the same stress in a different location?

I just got a sweet 27 inch 1440p TN display w/ 1ms latency and 144hz refresh for $420 at Best Buy.

If 4k is really important then I think you can get a 24 inch 4k IPS display for about $430 as well but latency/refresh will be less. IMO 2k/1440p is the sweet spot for me. I upgraded from 1920x1080 24" display.

If you really about trading stonks then this bad boy is 43" for $700 and change https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/dell-43-ultra-hd-4k-multi-client-monito…</a">https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/dell-43-ultra-hd-4k-multi-client-monito…

Be excellent to each other, and party on, dudes.

Analyst here. When things are busy it’s really no different aside from having slow WiFi. When things are slow you can spend downtime doing errands and working out. Corona has been the best thing to happen to me since starting this job lol

i thought I was going to be so slow. got staffed around midnight with ongoing emails. yesterday was a nightmare from home. everything is so slow. i dont have a work phone

I have told my team, do your job and I don’t give a shit what do at home. They know the work streams and timing for deliverables. As in the office, there are no excuses for blowing deadlines, especially right now in this shit show of a market.

I come here when I'm bored....
