Go on Google and download the application/tool called Mouse Giggler. It allows you leave your desk to do whatever stuff you want/need to do while still appearing online for your employer. Saved my entire WFH mentality... I’d suggest a lot of you do the same.

Also, if your laptop doesn't allow you to download applications without running it by IT first, there is a $10 USB that does the same thing. Hit up Amazon, they're everywhere.
Alternatively, can download the app Caffeine. Does the mouse jiggling + won't let your laptop fall asleep. Makes it look like I'm working until 9pm every day :)
Just as a Heads up to many. USBs can have preinstalled virus on them too and are not 100% safe. Just be cautious

you can use old gramophone, put your mouse on the spinning disc, fix the mouse - i.e. create a neat paper box that will keep it on the disc, push the play button on good ol' gramophone, profit.

There is literally a setting where you can force it to say "busy / in a meeting / active / whatever the fuck you want" and make it so that the status doesn't change until up to a few hours of being idle...
I just open a word doc and leave my mug on my space bar and take a nap. Works a treat
I've only tried this once, but heard it from a friend. If you sit in your chair and position your hands on your desk with your left hand by your keyboard and the right on the mouse, you can actually move the mouse.
Write a python a script to handle this bud.
