What are the hardest technical questions you've been asked or have asked in a Banking Interview?
Hey WSO geniuses. As the title says, I thought it would be useful to get a list of some really challenging questions for future applicants. The process is becoming more complicated than ever and every edge helps. Cheers!
Accretion/Dilution questions can be tricky. So can very in-depth accounting questions, like PIK interest flowing through the three statements. Certain EV questions can be counter-intuitive, as well.
For an intern level, stuff about dividend recaps and LBO exits. TBH no sense at all to ask those questions - which are not even near what you'd really do at the job
I wonder if some interviewers just like to see how you respond to a question you don't know.
never thought about it that way
Any specific question/example that comes to mind mate?
What about the hardest behaviorals?
"Tell me a situation where you were roguish"
Jeez, mind if I ask how you responded?
