Title says it all. What banks for 2019 SA are still recruiting. Will literally intern anywhere in IB, just want to see what's available. Thanks a ton.

A ton of banks are still recruiting - just received hirevues for BAML, had a first round for Barclays, MUFG, Citi and Jefferies this past week. EBs are done (with the exception of Jefferies) from what I've heard. Some smaller, but well-known boutiques haven't even started.. i.e. Oppenheimer (they open in November for a few weeks and start recruiting in Dec/January)

Got it last week.
Why the actual fuck do banks not publicize their recruiting timelines? Why is everything sp opaque? This could literally be just a big spreadsheet with rough timelines for each office. It's mind-boggling that this isn't a thing.
Because the people who want it bad enough will find a way to find their timelines.
Because to get first round you need to have networked first, and if you networked you would have known the timeline
I know that, I have, but the point is, it doesn't always work like that. I networked too early for some firms and nobody ever responded for some of them. For some, I was too late because I didn't think they started that early. That sort of thinking is kind of reductionist.
Wouldn't that make it even more competitive than it already is? Yes, it would.
The consensus is that pretty much all EBs are done but the BBs are still open and all of them have atleast a few spots left.
