What does timeline of SA2027 look like at Greenhill/ in general?

Had a first round today and forgot to ask what the timeline looks like/ when to expect to hear back. If anyone is familiar with GHL/ the process in general, how long after a first round do banks typically take to get back? I was thinking maybe early next week since it's Friday but any info is appreciated.

Based on the most helpful WSO content, timelines for Summer Analyst (SA) recruiting can vary slightly by bank, but here’s a general breakdown and what you might expect for Greenhill or similar elite boutiques:

  1. First Round Feedback: For Greenhill and other banks, it's common to hear back within a few business days after the first round. Since today is Friday, early next week (Monday or Tuesday) is a reasonable expectation for feedback.

  2. Superday Invitations: If you pass the first round, you’ll likely be invited to a Superday (final round). These are typically scheduled within 1-2 weeks after the first round, depending on the bank's internal timeline and candidate availability.

  3. Post-Superday Decisions: After the Superday, decisions are often communicated within 24-48 hours. Elite boutiques like Greenhill are known for moving quickly to secure top candidates.

  4. General Timeline Trends:

    • Accelerated Processes: Some banks, including Greenhill, may have accelerated timelines for diversity or early recruiting programs, meaning they could move even faster.
    • Standard Processes: For the broader pool, timelines can stretch slightly longer, but most banks aim to wrap up SA recruiting by late summer or early fall.

If you’re unsure, it’s always okay to follow up with HR or your interviewer early next week to politely inquire about the timeline. Good luck—sounds like you’re off to a strong start!
