What exactly does an experienced VP do? Does it differ at BB, MM or EB?

I graduated college and hit the desk this summer and was lucky to be put on a live deal. I am a bit overwhelmed and mainly trying not to mess up. I work mostly with another analyst and the associate and see the senior Director managing the client. What does an experienced VP usually do?
