What is Modern Guild? Is it legit? Has anybody had success with it?
Just got a handshake message to apply and it seems a little sketch. Also couldn't find any other reviews on it.

I can attest that ModernGuild is very legit. I got a sophomore internship at a BB through it. The "accelerator training" itself that they provide is very hit or miss but it basically guarantees you a first round so it will be on you to secure the offer. The mentor that they provide you is very useful.
Not sketch at all.
Know a bunch of sophomores that landed BB/EB/Top AM internships through MG. They are super legit.
Legit, seems sketch but that's because it's a startup company. The founder went to Columbia Business School and started Modern Guild.
My take: great platform to gain access to internships/interviews for diversity candidates. They pair you with great mentors and you get to do mock interviews which help a ton. However, despite their low admission rate into the program, there are still a lot of people in the program; so you end up competing against 20-100 people who are in the same boat as you for the same position that the firm only seeks to hire a few from Modern Guild. Not all BBs represented, but they also got connections to PE and other buy-side roles and others like Bloomberg. Once you get matched to firms interested in you, the only catch is you can only pick one, and can't interview with all of them - but hey, if you don't make it the first round, you get thrown into the pool again to get rematched. Other thing I dislike is their training - not that helpful/in-depth - just get a brief understanding from the modules and study everything else on your own. Mentors are there to help as needed. Overall, great program, but still lacks operational efficiency.
one of the BBs interviewed literally 50+ kids during their freshman summer for less than 5 spots
