What time to arrange coffee chat
I’ll be in NY starting Monday for a summer analyst stint at a BB. I found some people Outside the bank that I’d like to have coffee chats with who are also in NY. The problem is, I’ve never arranged my own coffee chat like this and I’ve only been in NY to change planes so I don’t know where to even go for a coffee chat.
So, what time of day do I arrange a coffee chat for when it’s someone outside the bank? Should I wait until after training week is over plus a week so that I get into a routine a bit before doing this?

I wouldn’t do it at all. It’s 10 weeks and your FT and future depends on that. Who do you have to meet that’s more important than killing it during your internship? Just give it your best and if you have 10 minutes free ask your team if they need help rather than wandering around the city
That’s good advice—should I try to meet with this person at all then? Like maybe before or after hours? We’re both in the same city and this person’s firm is recruiting for FT during the summer
