What to do on first days of new job

Hi all,

I have secured my first job out of university. Maybe this is basic, but I am wondering how to make a good impression on my first few days of the job. Should I go around and introduce myself ? I don't want to be end up in awkward situations where I do not know people that sit 2 desks away from me.

I realize first few days will probably be slow but more generally I'm wondering if you have any advice. Any tips are appreciated!
