Where do most Investment Bankers end up?

Evidently, most IB analysts after 2-3 years look to exit to a PE firm, HF, get associate promotion, corp dev, tech, perhaps eventually pursue an MBA etc...

Regardless of the case, I was just curious if anyone here who has been around long enough knows where most people who begin as IB analysts end up in 10-15 years, or even 20-25 years down the road. Do most end up becoming hotshots and some sort of executive level position in Finance/ at some business, or would they more often than not "burn out" and leave for some 9-5 job for the rest of their lives?

Let me know your insights.
