 A few quick thoughts, two and three are more lending specific (LevFin, Corporate Banking, Commercial Banking, etc...).

  1. Always been a markets person and the size of the debt market sticks out to you in particular (meaningfully larger than the equity market, not sure exact figures right now).
  2. An opportunity to have the best of both worlds between working with markets and analyzing companies. Also gives you the opportunity to assess and take risk as you can be lending off of your firm's balance sheet.
  3. The ability to help companies grow by providing them with the necessary capital to produce goods and services, expand, acquire competitors, and so on...
