Incoming FT analysts/associates delayed to September. Other banks to follow? First of many delays?

are they still paying full times from original date of start?
No
interesting good to know. did they send new contracts to sign with the new details? interesting that they’re paying interns but not full times
Blair is not paying interns for full summer. $7,500 comp for 4 weeks + additional training
my b.. either way doesn’t look good
JPM already did this, but are paying them starting on the original start date.
damn -perks for bigger firm
not sure if true or not- but heard they just made cuts all the way up to the partner level
they hardly laid people off in 2001 and 2009 supposedly... not sure i buy this..
They did make cuts, but mostly at the Associate / VP level. A few analysts and senior bankers.
so everyone and every level - across groups and non bankers? good to know
Lincoln and Baird have also pushed back and are targeting a September start date
It's a bummer but it makes sense - MM banks may have slow dealflow because middle market firms (correctly) think they would be selling for a discount right now, so corp. boards are reticent to mandate a sell-side process.
aren’t u supposed to rely on a rx or asset manamgement practice when m&a is down?
