Zoom superday?

When it comes to superday, does it make a negative impact on the decision if I choose to attend via zoom instead of flying to there in person? Do interviewers prefer in person candidates over zoom ones if there is a tie? Superday for a S&T SA position coming soon and I appreciate any insight on this. Thanks!

Just based on my personal experience, at some banks people interviewed you on zoom while they were at their desk and you could tell they were distracted by what was going on and weren't keyed into the interview. It's also a lot harder to make a personal connection over zoom. If your soft skills are good I would do my best to fly there and do it in person. Its a much better experience in my opinion.

We won't pay to fly you out and we won't request that you do. I haven't found a material difference in zoom vs. in-person chances for us.

What does hurt is if you have background noise, suck at technology or have other issues.

We've been doing a fair amount of zoom vs. in-person diligence sessions, so it is a required capability.

I got my offer choosing Zoom over in-person. I do not think there would really be a significant negative impact.

To be fair this is a consulting interview which is different from banking interviews, but I think it would not be that different.
