how long did it take to get a hirevue? i applied on 7/1 and they said I would have 5 days to do it and it would come immediately. didn't even get a confirmation email yet?
It took me 2 weeks to hirevue still haven't gotten follow up since the hirevue interview and it has been almost a month.

I think many apps are open but most firms won’t start interviewing until they have a headcount from their SA’s. A recruiter for a BB told me interviews would start in August

Following. Outside of MBB, Goldman and JP nothing is open for finance/consulting roles in general. Could only find Ops, Audit and Tech for any other BB.

most roles I've seen come up are for private equity/growth equity shops, in addition to JP, G, and MBB. Insight has also been open for a while, as has Bain Cap, KKR TMT Growth, Stripes, and a few others.
I think most firms are on hiring freezes
more likely waiting for summer analysts to accept/reject offer letters so they know how many offers to give out for FT

Are we assuming places with no open apps that historically would have them out by now (think Guggenheim) are not hiring ft?
We can only guess rn, but last year there was a high amount of demand so groups new they were adding spots before the intern class finished. I think this year it's a little bit of the opposite and heavily dependent on the interns that don't return. We'll know if they're taking in 3-4 weeks.
I feel like 3/4 weeks means peoples current offers will explode so do you have to sign and renege if you get something else?
any idea when Barclays historically opens ?

Can corroborate. Heard from an MD today that HL is fully committed for 2023 analyst class. Sounds like all SAs received offers back and are expected to accept.

I searched for student opportunities here. It doesn't seem like as many as usual in a typical year, so not sure if this is it or if they'll add more. also, heads up the HireVue goes out immediately after with 48 hours to complete
MS SF, should be done with their process. They pretty much ran the super a day or two after the apps went out.

how's the response rate on networking emails everyone? didn't get a return and been sending a bunch of cold emails but not much traction. I'm pretty hopeless now... curious if this is just me or across the board.

this cycle is absolutely fucked, most places aren't recruiting at all - and if they are, they're recruiting in the single digits of candidates
I've got very little traction in the FT recruiting process. Truly wondering if it's that bad for across the street.
I'd say it's an IB thing since I've been getting pretty good progress in PE and Consulting but think IB is just taking on summer analysts and others who have connections with the firm tbh

Heard that Barclays already wrapped up from a VP today and I never even saw an app drop or get a whistle from people I reached out to.
