Life Outside Finance

What are some other career fields/specific jobs outside of finance that one could target where you can work on challenging work and build transferable skills. I’ve had difficulty finding other jobs/fields that don’t have high barriers to entry i.e. require several years of relevant experience or specific degrees/designations etc.

###Why Not Finance:
I’ve been networking and applying to jobs in finance for a long time. I’ve been landing interviews but get passed over for MBA’s or people with more experience. I’m starting to realize that this isn’t working. I’ve been casting a wide net recently but I’ve gotten to the point where I just need a job. I’ve pursued sales, accounting and consulting with little luck so far - again I get interviews but don’t have the experience they are looking for. I am a driven type-A individual. I don’t want to be a teller.

###My Background:
Finance degree from non-target, super involved on campus, extracurriculars, case comps etc. Worked my ass off to somehow maintain a 3.9 GPA. Managed to land a couple solid internships. I'm also well on my way through the CFA program.
