No job, desperate: need advice

I am 23 and I graduated with a double MSc in economics with GPA 3.5 (messed up my last year a little) in Fall 2013. No (relevant) work experience. I wanted to go for a PhD when I was in college but I realized I wasn't molded for it and started looking out for industry opportunities. I had a series of interviews very quickly at economic/litigation consulting firms but I miserably botched them all.

I am literally sending applications to every company/institution at the moment but I only get rejections since my diploma is very specific. I enrolled in a general finance track in a Business School (evening classes so I can work if I get hired) a few days ago in order to expand my capabilities and possibly find a job in finance (Banking, corporate, internship or permanent, I don't really care at this point), since jobs in economic institutions or private firms seem out of my reach. I do not know what to do anymore... and I need some advice guys.

Where do I go from here? Are there any companies/industries I am missing out for which I might be suitable?

How are your stats/math skills? Big Data is the "next big thing" and lots of F500s are hiring business analysts. Obviously not a pure finance job, but can be leveraged into corpdev or b-school. Alternatively, networking/hustle your ass off for off-cycle internships. I also did an Econ BSc, PM me if you want to chat more. What city are you in?

Currently: future neurologist, current psychotherapist Previously: investor relations (top consulting firm), M&A consulting (Big 4), M&A banking (MM)
