having BO experience and "passed level 3 of the CFA" won't help getting you thru HR resume screens. it will, however, cost you at least $5k and 900hours of your time. idk about the UK but here in the US the back offices are filled with people perennially taking the CFA. it doesn't set you apart whatsoever.

if you can go to a top MBA you would have better options. its kind of the reset button, as i understand.

Yeah, it's not even the cost. It's the time commitment. 900 hours is about right, which is just utterly painful.
