Does it matter if you invest right now in the height of the market?

Was wondering if it’s worth to buy ETFs now when the market is fundamentally overvalued and the economy isn’t looking so hot.

Yes, I see that unemployment decreased to about 14%, better than expectation, but still shit nonetheless.

So I was wondering if it’s worth waiting to buy these ETFs at a discount, or in the long run it won’t matter.

Was thinking about high dividend yield ETFs as well as a couple growth ones. What about tech too? Or is that boat way overinflated with sheer optimism?

The height of the market?

I mean just referring to a relatively high market and also the s&p500 hitting ATH

So how low do you think it will go?

like 5% overvalued, 10%? what is your vague idea if you had to say -

Admittedly, my positions are all terrible, but I think the key driver for a correction in equities is going to be the FOMC. As long as the credit market is this strong due to exogenous demand, there will be a spill-over effect into other asset classes, which will raise the price of equities. Trump also seems to believe that his mandate is to keep the S&P 500 going up, so until the external levers get un-switched, I think it will continue to go at least to its mid-February level.

That's my 2 cents. Looking forward to seeing how other people will respond.
