GPA drop after accepting offer of Big Four Consulting

I got the offer with my transcript that looked good without the last semester when the hiring was conducted. But I am having a huge trouble with one 1-credit technical class and it's not required so it won't affect graduation. I think I am gonna fail that one as the duration of the course is only 1/3 of the semester and I can barely save it with only days remaining.

The firm only mentioned they wanted a GPA higher than 3.5 (I will try to make it as the F is just 1 credit). Will they take back my offer and should I start looking for other jobs?

Hey Mike, Thank you for comforting me. Of course I tried but since the class is approaching the end, student service cannot let me drop now. I think I might ask HR for their opinions but I really need to be careful I think. What if they don't even care or don't even ask for my final transcript... I surely shouldn't make it a bigger...

You've already signed the offer- as long as your other grades are still good, a 1 credit F won't bury you imo

I don't think you need to bring it up at all, if they ask for your transcripts then you can maybe add a note, but still shouldn't be a big deal

They're looking for reasons to keep you, not shove you out after months of recruiting- just do your best to finish with the best grades possible in everything else and I doubt it comes up

This coming from a guy who lied about attending Harvard and faked his way into being a lawyer. Don't listen to him,

If your GPA drops below 3.5, your offer will be rescinded. This happened to a good friend of mine and she had a real bad circumstance regarding the drop in her GPA (which was barely even a drop), but they didn't want to hear it. She had to look for a SA position elsewhere and I felt really bad for her. Sucks.

Ohh I am so sorry for her.

But you mean the overall GPA right? I think I only have difficulty with that single one class so the overall might not be too bad just due to that one-credit class.

What does SA stand for btw, senior associate or summer analyst?

This happened to someone in my start class that even interned at the firm. They let him know during training actually, which I think was very poorly done. He ended up getting a job somewhere else, but still I can't imagine how he must have been feeling.

Its probably a soft GPA requirement to filter out early candidates rather than rescind offers due to changes in GPA post offer.
