IB for those who are more introverted/don't go out?

Do you have to be extroverted/function well when working in the physical presence of others (i.e. be able to do work in settings such as a noisy coffee shop) in order to be a good Analyst? Is it also necessary to go out to bars/drink to be a good Investment Banking Analyst at any bank? Thanks for the insight!

Thats good to hear. Yeah I wouldn't say that I'm necessarily shy. I've just noticed that I'm really bad when trying to discuss technical information out loud to a group of people. For one of my accounting classes, I completely understand the material, but I don't participate in class that much because I struggle explaining the technical concepts out loud. On the other hand, I enjoy participating in one of my liberal arts classes though because there are no numbers involved. I appreciate the insight though!

I'm introverted and prefer to spend my time reading books or playing lacrosse than getting wasted at bar. When I interned I hit the sweet spot by being known as a mellow guy who can talk about sports , is proactive about getting work done, last one out and first one in and social enough to go to bars and not try too hard. All you have to do is say yes to going out, listen more than you speak and always be a positive person.
