Major GPA vs Cum. GPA

There are some older threads on this but I am curious if there is any new consensus lately, but say I have a cumulative gpa below 3.5 (which generally seems to be the cutoff for high finance) but my relevant major gpa is comparatively much higher, would it be acceptable to list the major gpa when applying to summer internships (normally application just asks for GPA, dosen't specify) or would that be considered dishonest? I only say this because I am a double major and my non relevant major is historically considered challenging. I am sure I would have no issue explaining it in an interview but I don't want the application screening programs to automatically cut me because of something so trivial ;-;

List your major GPA, but be open about it if it comes up in a conversation. That's what matters. No one gives a crap if you busted 13th grade state history with a C- so long as you knocked it out with the A on finance or accounting courses that're actually university level. The other thing is past your first role, no one's going to give a flying you know what about your GPA and it's all about your job performance.

List both
