Michael Porter vs Michael Porter Jr.

One is the creator of the now famous Five Forces, regarded as the father of modern corporate strategy and a tenured professor at Harvard.

The other is a now NBA champion earning $30 million a year, who just dropped 16 points and 13 rebounds in the biggest game of his life.

Who you taking?

Lmfao what 🤣 My dumbass deadass thought Porter Jr was Harvard Mike's son

I'm taking Nerd Mike over Jr. People might think I'm a hardo tool, but wealth has diminishing marginal utility. After a certain point it makes no diff to my life.

Tenured profs at Harvard all live reasonably comfortable and financially stable lives. That is good enough. Let alone Michael Porter who likely makes more than the average prof due to his influence, book sales, copyrights, celebrity appearances and consultancy work etc.

I'd take leaving a legacy in finance and being a hardo over basketball which I have no interest in anyway.

And then there's the old saying - the good thing about being ugly is that you know that the people who love you, love you for who you are. If I were a celeb NBA chad like Jr, knowing myself, I'd likely get swept up in the fast life and be down bad. I'd take Nerd Mike
