Remote SA - What news to watch?
Doing my internship remote this summer. I wanted to stay up to date on news. I found a tv off Facebook marketplace for cheap got it set up in my make shift office but was wondering what news channels do you guys watch while in the office? so y'all that are FT already what do you watch in the office? CNN, FOX, CNBC, Bloomberg live?
Watch the news... like with voices and ads? Just scan Bloomberg/CNN/BBC/FT/WSJ for a few minutes every day, you'll have enough news, unless you're doing S&T.
Our office when we were in an office played Bloomberg which has at least decent / non-political shows and a helpful sidebar.
scan CNN? lmfao
read everything in the middle, avoid everything else.

Yes, I said scan CNN and WSJ, which are one column left of center and right of center according to your (sincerely helpful!) chart, respectively. I scarcely read opinions unless they are long form and written by an author I respect (not necessarily someone I agree with).
I find it is useful to at least understand how people and the media on the right and left are reacting to news. I trust myself to parse through it without being unduly brainwashed.
Is OANN somewhere to the right of this chart?
Scan FT and WSJ, subscribe to “Money Stuff” newsletter, watch Bloomberg if you want TV, add Zerohedge and dealbreaker for more “dumb” news
I’m no Republican but the NYT and CNN can fuck right off. Every single article is a lib book report on Trump’s every move (I do not give a shit, I just want to read about spaceships and shit) and Chris Cuomo is a puppet
Subscribe to as many email newsletters as possible. I have about 5 I read every day. Each take less than 5 minutes to read and you are completely informed. Morning brew for example is a good start. Also find a good news daily podcast you enjoy that helps.
morning brew sucks, axios is the way to go
news.com is the best
Subscribe to newsletters, listen to daily morning podcasts (e.g. from the Economist or FT), and scan some online newspapers (at least WSJ). Optionally you can also check out a stocks app to see how things are doing. That should already take up enough time and be way more efficient than watching random news channels. imo online resources are way better than tv
Probably not Fox
WSJ?
