Teeth Whitening Trays
My dentists want to charge me $350 for custom trays and that's ridiculous.
Has anyone tried DIY, home fit trays? You can get for a under $10 on Amazon plus cost of the whitening solution.

Just drink lots of liquor. I find that liquor removes the blemishes from my teeth while cigarettes finish them off with a rustic burnish.
Crest Whitestrips professional affects works like a charm.... For $55
Don't believe your dentist. He tries to sell you something that you can get much cheaper. Crest brand has some good ones dirt cheap. http://www.amazon.com/Crest-White-Advanced-Whitening-Strips/dp/B001OOLL…
White paint actually works really well. It takes a little while to dry though.
I've heard gargling bleach a couple times a day does the trick as well. Careful not to swallow any though cause it might upset your stomach/kill you.
question: What's the difference between Whitestrips and in-office, professional treatments?
answer: There are 2 main differences between most in-office whitening treatments and Crest Whitestrips: 1) how the whitening ingredient is applied and 2) cost.
Both whitening methods use the same whitening ingredient: hydrogen peroxide. However, Intensive Professional Effects Whitestrips use a 10% concentration, while most in-office procedures use up to a 35% concentration. Lights and lasers are also used during in-office procedures to help show results more quickly than at-home procedures.
However, because of this immediacy in results, in-office treatments cost more than Whitestrips. So, if speed is a priority for you, but cost is an issue, then try Intensive Professional Effects Whitestrips. They deliver professional-level results in the convenience of your home.
u guys r all hi proven scientific whey is to brush reguarly 3x per day and floss wow lern from your dentist
def whitestrips advertiser rite here excellent pitch I'm actually goint to buy lol
a dental assistant friend told me you can just brush with baking powder (or baking soda?) and it will work great. for obvious reasons i haven't tested this yet, but if you're so inclined...
I have been using White Strips from my dentist that are more powerful than over the counter stuff. However, the White Strips do not cover my teeth evenly and they are a pain in the ass to wear.
Im going to try a tray kit from smilebrilliant.com. For $85, you get a teeth mold that you form at home and send away to a lab to get made into a permanent plastic tray. This company claims they supply dentists with the exact same products so its the highest quality stuff.
Also, the solution used in trays is 35% compared to white strips that only use 10% solution. More power and cheaper in the long run
The Whitestrips make your teeth really sensitive (e.g. it hurts to drink slightly cold stuff).
Would not recommend.
doesn't that erode your enamel ??
As ashamed as I am to admit this, I have seen this technique on the previews for My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding. Take that FWIW.
Right after use or permanent?
i'll ask her again
You can get low concentration hydrogen peroxide (what is used in most whitening solution) and brush lightly with that every now and then. Same applies for baking soda as somebody mentioned above. I personally just go down the brush 3x a day, floss, and mouthwash route.
i just copied the info from one of the amazon product description/reviews
I stopped using it 3 days in. It felt like a layer had been essentially eliminated on my teeth.
I'm not sure if they warn about this on the packaging (e.g. sensitive teeth after use).
I tried white strips and made it I think 3 or 4 days then the pain was unbearable. Some people don't get sensitive teeth from them, but I sure as hell did. I got a groupon for the LED whitening so have done that twice now, it works pretty decent but you've gotta go probably 4-6 times to get the full benefit. First time, didn't notice much. Second time enough of a difference to get a little ego boost, now I'm curious how they'll look after I go again in a couple weeks.
White Strips always made my teeth pretty sensitive, but it wasn't too bad.
try this. you're teeth will be noticeable whiter after just one use. (I know I sound like a commercial)

I use that shit. It's the only toothpaste that really makes my mouth feel fresh and removes reminders of bad things that were in it.
Strips: Sensitivity, burns your gums, messy and uncomfortable
Custom: Fits like a glove, no/less sensitivity, better end results. You just snap on what is basically the same fit/style as invisalign. You can have them in and have a conversion.
Cost: $100-$500. Shop around. I literally just called dentists and was quoted this range.

Has anyone tried Elmer's glue? Someone was saying that its very effective, and its only $3.49 at Staples, or possibly free in any office supply room. I'd imagine the pointy orange nozzle is useful for getting to the hard-to-reach places in your mouth.
Be careful not to overdo this crap. You're definitely stripping away some enamel and it doesn't come back.
Wtf? I can't say I've ever heard that before heheh. Want video if someone tries it.
this guy is genius - baking powder advertisement inside of a Arm & Hammer toothpaste advertisement inside of a soap.com advertisement - brah u a triple threat
