Critique my CV (Associate level)
I'm a bit later in my career (just got promoted to associate at a corporate VC), but would be interested in what the senior monkeys here think about my CV. I'm looking to switch to a different VC/GE or to corporate dev in the next 2 years.
I know I should be reducing the length to 1 page, but I'm not sure what else to cut. I definitely want to keep in the introduction part because I have a wide range of experiences that without some structure (which the intro provides) would just seem all over the place.
I would be willing to take out the "Large Asset Manager" and/or the "Startup XY" experience though. In my point of view
- the value-add of keeping the former in is to show my research skills, investment, and financial modelling skills (although arguably this is already covered by my IB and VC experiences)
- the value-add of keeping the latter in is to show that I'm not just a "numbers guy" and I can be very hands-on/operational if needed
In any case, both would have to be taken out to reduce the length to 1 page, but I'm hesitant in doing so.
Also, I'm not sure how to mark in my CV that I was promoted from Analyst to Associate - as you can see at the VC role, I put Analyst under Associate, but it just looks very off to me. Any suggestions?
