Negotiating a Pre-MBA Offer
I’ve got an offer from an LMM fund in the Midwest for approximately $110k - $130k. It’s worth noting that it’s in a place where the cost of living is significantly lower than NYC/SF/LA/CHI. Is it worth it to try and negotiate up my salary? For reference, I currently work at an investment bank in a different city, where my associate comp next year after completing my analyst contract would be in the low to mid $200ks.
Hi Rockerking9, check out these threads:
I hope those threads give you a bit more insight.

How big is the fund? What is the AUM? That feels a little low, but mid 100s at a small fund in a low COL city isn't crazy in my opinion.
You have literally nothing to lose by negotiating - if nothing else they will respect you for having a spine and not being a pleb that's afraid of asking for better terms
