PE Funds with Partner Tracks?

I was wondering which MF/UMM/MM funds will take on Associates and Promote to VP either without needing to go back to school, or will sponsor an MBA and will re-hire associates but now as VPs. I'm interested in recruiting for PE at funds that would have this structure as I'm definitely not a fan of going for an MBA.

Just look at the websites and click on the VPs and you’ll be able to tell - at the moment it almost feels like the majority do it for at least top performers after the big need for talent over the last 5 years. I’d say almost a majority of the reputable mm/umm are doing it at this point and then for MFs it’s hit or miss. Oddly one thing I’ve noticed anecdotally is that the reputable brands are more progressive here than the LMM/MM up and comers and regional (I.e., only one office and outside of nyc/bos/sf/chi) guys. Maybe because they are just old school or maybe they actually benefit from the perceived credibility of MBA since they are less established firms, maybe just behind the times, or maybe just more slowly deploying capital. Separate discussion.

also something I think you could tell headhunters that you value.
