REPE versus PE
How challenging is moving from REPE to PE? Are the skills learned doing REPE vastly different than traditional PE? Would the switch require an MBA/ re-skilling? Is this transition common?

Yes, easily, especially if you have some interest in exploring real estate. Longer term, when the market starts another bull run after this massive reset, you will be riding lucrative tailwinds. Of course, this is speculative, but in the worst case, any top BB REGAL group would be happy to scoop you up and you can lateral wherever you'd like. A majority of top analysts at BB / EBs don't get MF offers, there are limited seats compared to other strategies, it's a focus for fundraising alongside infra, and now there is a stronger SA pipeline that is compressing volume of opportunities to make the jump post-grad. If you have the option, take MF and don't look back.
