Wow had no idea Barclays was that low. How much does bank matter for exits/is it worth maybe doing a year maths masters to get another internship at JPM/GS/Citi? Talking about LDN here also
My ranking is mostly for NY, idk much about London. And Barclays isn’t bad by any means. My list is the top 6 that come to mind, so they are actually quite good considering they’re on that list
Interesting, I wasn’t aware that even within rates the product dependency would be so big in the ranking. Do you maybe have any insight into rates vol or inflation desks?
I know OP said IBs but cant ignore the Chicagoans if we're talking the broad rates business: CTC, IMC, Optiver, etc for options on ust futures. PNT if ur a eurodollar guy lol

As mentioned above, Nomura is known for being a vol shop and their rates vol traders are well respected across the street.
edit: not sure who downvoted my comment, but there has definitely been some senior vol talent at Nomura

Citadel is at least tier 2
Nomura is up there as well
Not an investment bank lmao
I know lol.. Should of clarified. They are strong in rates though.
I’d say it’s all strongly dependent on product/desk but
JP above in general
GS quite close
Citi
Barx
MS / Bofa / Db / BNP
HSBC / UBS
Nomura
